That's A Wrap For 2024 😌
Hi everyone,
Well, that’s a wrap on the 2024 MotoGP season finishing up in Barcelona. What a bloody ride it was this year, we fought hard all year and I’m proud we gave it our all, all the way until the end 🤟
No denying we weren’t quite where we wanted to be this year, I felt we made good progress at different points but were just not able to fully nail it. The crew worked tirelessly alongside me, and I can’t thank them enough for all their efforts.
When I came across to the Orange Squad we knew it would be a bit of a project, although in ‘23 we managed to score some decent results including a podium in Jerez, whilst continuing to develop the RC16.
This year was obviously a more challenging one, however as I said, super thankful to the entire crew for giving me the chance, and working tirelessly to be competitive.
For Barcelona, we had flashes of pace - just missed out on Q2 which is always a bummer - feel like I’ve been on that bubble more than any other rider this season, but it’s the way the cookie crumbles at times.
Sprint Race felt like I was on a dirt track circuit, things just weren’t gelling to say the least. Couldn’t turn the rear tyre on, and we were well off where we needed to be. Well down the order in that one, but went to work for some answers for the last race.
Decent jump in the Feature Race, although from there it was a bit of a goats trail, follow the leader type ride. Didn’t manage much progress out there, but was good to get some points on the board for my final race with the team in P13.
Over and out for this season, a massive thank you to the team at KTM for all of their hard work over the last couple years, and to all my fans worldwide for always being there for me, regardless of the result.
Cheers to a break for now, and catch you all in ‘25!
Jack 🤟
